Chris Conte - Cat and Mouse
|
Chris Conte describes his "Cat and Mouse" method of teaching a
skater to snap into the rotational position. Chris is so creative and
generally has way too much fun. See how he uses simple stickers to make a
point and keep things simple for his skaters. Instead of talking about
free side, or rotational side, or landing side, etc. which can be very confusing
to skaters, he simplifies it to cat and mouse. Skaters will not forget
these concepts.
Chris demonstrates the most common rotational problems and then
works with his skater in the on-ice stationary harness (I'm jealous) to develop
consistency with these ideas. It's fun and helpful just to sit in on this
lesson with Chris and his skater.
This is a great video! Enjoy.
