Sheila Thelen - Harness Safety and Jump Setups
|
Sheila
Thelen discusses more ceiling harness safety issues. Then
she demonstrates common jump setups for use with a ceiling
harness. Setting up jumps under the support wire is a major challenge for
most skaters and coaches, at least when they are first getting used to the
harness. Sheila provides tips and patterns that all coaches can use.

» [- Jan 21, 2010 at 11:45 PM -] Richelle says: We have the belt system with one rope that comes up behind the skater's head. A couple of things she mentions in the video are different than what I do. I place myself a little bit ahead of the skater on the jump entrance and I stand on the opposite side than what she does. Those were the instructions that came with the harness and they work for me.
